The reasons we participate in music are endless, varied, sometimes mysterious, often confusing, always rewarding. But we do it. We love it. We are it. And once again we celebrate it on BBC Music Day.

Sheffield Makes Music is back for its 4th year of celebrating all that is brilliant about our city’s music makers and audiences. We weave music through the streets of Sheffield’s city centre to surprise and delight throughout the day. You’ll find us on Fargate, commune with us in Kommue, high five us on High Street and enjoy a mash up house with Otis in Orchard Square. We invite you to join the party from 11 till 7 as the city becomes a stage for the day showcasing a huge variety of styles and talent, all based in our wonderful Music City, and all free of charge*.
